Across Canada, every March, we celebrate Social Work Week to pay tribute to thousands of social workers and the vital work they do every day.
Especially during the pandemic, social workers are on the frontlines trying to assist those deeply affected by COVID-19. Mental health issues, addiction, and abuse have been on the rise since the pandemic has begun. Social workers are essential in caring for the well-being of the public. Without them, Ontarioians in our communities wouldn’t receive the support they need.
They will be incredibly essential in the path forward after the pandemic to help our communities get back on their feet. Make sure you celebrate social workers in your workplace and let them know how much you appreciate them and their contributions to the healthcare system.
